Amuru Teachers to enjoy a fully furnished house

Teachers at Teddi nursery & primary school will be enjoying the comfort of a fully constructed and well-furnished house.
This is thanks to Ssubi Foundation, a non-government organization supporting the education sector in Amuru district.
Amuru District Education Officer, Joyce Lanyero says that the 5 unit teachers’ quarters that was constructed to completion last month, in 25 days is ready for teachers’ usage, as it has chairs and a reading table in the living room and a double sized bed in the bedroom.
She adds that this brings to 9 units, including the 4 unit house that was constructed last year by the same organization.
The director Ssubi Foundation, Phillips said that by they want to create a better and safe environment for teachers at Teddi nursery and primary school.
He adds that it important to recognize and motivate the teacher so that they can in turn transfer the zeal in teaching the pupils in class.
Amuru district LCV, Michael Lakony while commissioning the building appreciated Ssubi Foundation for being one of the best NGOs in Amuru district, adding that there intervention at Teddi has transformed the society in Acwera parish, Amuru Sub County.
Amuru Resident District Commissioner, Stephen Latek urged communities to guard the school and all its infrastructure like a treasure that is hard to find.
Teddi primary school is a community school, and recently it has been ear marked for coding as a government aided school. The school offers both formal and informal education (tailoring course).
