Amuru District leaders commission trainees for the census exercise

71 parish supervisors and 572 enumerators have been commissioned to undertake the census exercise in Amuru District from the 10th to the 19th May, 2024.
The trainees were commissioned after they took oath of secrecy presided over by the chief magistrate of Amuru District, his worship Godfrey Aballa.
The Chief Administrative Officer Amuru, Charles Otai thanked the district and sub county census officers for their hard work of for the 9 days of training, and urged the trainees to be accountable for all the work tools advanced to them for the census exercise.
While opening the session, the District Chairperson represented by Secretary Education, Kieth Akera congratulated the trainees for their endurance throughout the 9 days of training and wished them well in the next steps.
Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Proscovia Acham asked the trainees to take the activity very seriously and do the work diligently.
She also warned trainees and communities against sabotaging the census program, saying anyone caught resisting this exercise will be arrested.
