Lakang Community overjoyed by Epicentre project

The community in Lakang Sub county, Amuru district have happily welcomed the new Epicentre project.
The proposed project that is being initiated by the hunger project will enhance services in health, education, water and sanitation, production and financial services.
The hunger project country director, Ms. Irene Nabukali told the community during an investors visit on Monday 16th October, 2023, that the hunger project are happy to extend a hand to help the community of Lakang Sub County end hunger.
According to Irene, the hunger project will facilitate the community to devise solutions that can bring an end to hunger within the sub county.
The Epicentre project will among other things set up a school, health facility, SACCO, production store and water facilities.
Meanwhile Amuru district deputy CAO, Mr. Opio John Bosco asked the community to embrace the project wholeheartedly.
Amuru deputy resident district commissioner, Ms. Acaa Proscovia warned the leaders and community against sabotaging the project, saying whoever tries to deny the people of Lakang from accessing services will be dealt with accordingly.
